Apple blossoms

Last Saturday, my kids and I went to a farm to take some pictures.
This place is so beautiful.
They have apple and peach trees as well as acres upon acres of
God's beauty.

It was a cloudy day.
And unbeknownst to us at the time,
but a tornado was going to hit a few miles from our home.

I just love the country!

This pic brings joy to my soul!
Lots of love - Jen

Biking on the wild side

My boy
He's fun, silly and outgoing at home,
But put him in a social situation.
And the caution signs come up.

On his bike.
He's adventurous and willing to take risks.

My boy has been into "popping wheelies."

One of those wheelie moves landed him on his bum with the tires up in the air.

His response? "Did you see that? That was totally awesome!" in a California surfer dude voice.

Side note for my sister: I know, I know... it's not safe riding a bike without shoes and a helmet.

Eyes closed

My girl has a way about her that makes me smile...

For months now, my girl believes that if she closes her eyes we can't see her.
For instance, when she was taking regular naps :)
there would be times that I would see her quietly tip toeing
out of her room with her eyes closed.
Or say when she thought she was in trouble,
my girl's eyes would be closed at the scene of the crime.
So it wasn't a surprise during our photo shoot that she decided
to close her eyes.
just more shots to show off her personality. -Jen

All dolled up for Easter

Here's my little girl dressed up in her Easter best.

All these pictures, my girl is looking so sweet.....

So, I had to add this one. Here she is after some chocolate
reinforcement. (Notice the teeth).
I'll have to do another post to show the many faces of my girl.
There were many more ornery than sweet :) -Jen

Hope

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Thank you Lord for dying for my sins, that I may have hope.
I am eternally grateful.

Practice makes perfect

My son is learning that practice leads to proficiency.
bike riding
reading
rollerskating
and now jump roping.

My little guy spent most of the afternoon until right before bed practicing his new found skill. It's fun to see his joy when he has mastered a skill.

Remember a few weeks ago when my son was practicing roller skating for a class party. Well the party was a success. Initially half the kindergartners were on their bums at any given moment, but by the end of the party most were upright :) My little guy was one of the last ones in his sneakers. He wanted to keep practicing rollerskating.
