I saw the presence of God

A friend of mine told me

that whenever she is in Colorado

She feels near to God.

Yeah, you do.

My family, dad, and sister's family spent the week in Estes Park, Colorado.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This was our rustic cabin retreat.

It had an amazing view.
The window pane shot was taken from the living room of the cabin in the morning.
This was the backyard landscape.

The cabin's backyard was literally a playground for the kids to climb, swing, and play pretend in the "caves."

Less than 1/2 mile down from the cabin was Estes Lake. We went there daily to either jog, bike, fish, ride a boat or play on the playground.

We also did some sight seeing and took a train from Georgetown to Silver Plume, CO.

Here's some shots of a lovely church that I fell in love with.
Oh to be back there again.
I'm so tempted to move.
Thanks Jenny and the Baker family for letting us stay
at your Colorado retreat.
It's a little bit of heaven here on earth.

Reality Check

I am no longer in Colorado.
Breathing the cool mountain air.
Jogging by a lake with mountain peaks in my view.
Exploring the mountains,
biking with my family,
riding the train along the mountain side.

Instead I am back to responsibilities.
Facing two long work days,
with my mind currently racing
with all the things that I must do.

Last Day

Of swimming lessons.
So proud of my kiddos.
It's amazing how quickly a child can learn to swim.

We have been TV free for the month of July. As of tomorrow, we will be computer free for a week. If I don't reply to e-mails, facebook etc. you know why. I'll be enjoying the social media silence and enjoying my family. - Jen

Poolside

This has been my life the last couple weeks.
Swimming lessons and poolside
or should I say in the pool with my kiddos.
6 out of 7 days a week.
Now that's summer.

Be still my heart

Okay...
So I have a thing for red heads with blue eyes.
I mean....
everytime I see a kiddo under 5 with this description
my heart melts and I stop in my tracks.
This sweet pea was no exception.

Isn't she absolutely adorable!
Come on... who can resist that red hair and those blue eyes.
Be still my heart!

Besides being absolutely cute, she amazed me with her words
and communication skills for a little one under 2.

I could go on...
but I will stop now.
Thanks Miss "P"
I enjoyed playing with you. - Jen

Sneak Peek

Meet the "M" family.
I had the privilege to photograph this gorgeous family the other evening.

Everyone of their kids is a looker.

Upon setting up this next shot with the brothers, a praying mantis was spotted.

Turns out the boys and their dad ended up catching 7 praying mantises
at the end of the photo shoot.
I can hear it now.
"Dad, do you remember the time that we took pictures on this farm and
found so many praying mantises?"
Making memories - not just the photographic kind.
Thanks "M" family - I truly loved our time together. - Jen

Quatro

This cute little guy turned four a few weeks ago.
His mom decided that some photos were in order
So we headed out to some hayfields,
walked along some natures trails,
and ended up dipping feet into the pond.

He was the perfect model!
Happy Birthday "N." I enjoyed my time with you! - Jen
