Country Life

This weekend we tasted the country life.
Or should I say the glorified country life minus all the work.
Hayride, wiener roast, scavenger hunt, walnut toss, homemade stilts and bow & arrows.

During these moments, I think I may want to own land someday.
But the next morning the after effects of my allergies kick in, and I am happy with town life.

Homecoming Queen

Remember this beautiful girl?
Yesterday my niece was crowned homecoming queen.
I'm so proud of her.

I'm proud because she radiates God's love,
and it is evident by others.
Days prior to the "crowning" she had posted on facebook:
"see you at the pole tomorrow!! be there or be square ;)"
She had prayed that 25 people would show to pray and there were 35.
She and some of her friends at school are starting a Bible study.
She is evidence that the youth can make an impact for Christ
even in public school!

One year old cutie!

Look at this little cutie.
She is going to turn one real soon.

She was a mover, explorer and simply stole my heart!
And look at her brother,
Oh so sweet!

Thanks so much! And "L" I got more swimsuit shots than I thought :) -Jen

More apple picking

This weekend we went to pick some more apples.
This time around I didn't bring a camera.
We picked 3x the amount as last time.
Whew! I am going to be busy!
Here are some shots from the first apple picking of the season.

Hope you are having a great weekend. Blessings - Jen

Birthday surprise

A few weeks ago "D" called me and asked if I could help him with a birthday surprise for his wife. She had been wanting family photos done and asked if by any chance I was free the day of her birthday. He was in luck!

The birthday girl has a classic beauty to her.

I can't help but think, how blessed this little guy is
to have parents who are so enamoured by him.

I hope the rest of your birthday was a sweet treat!
Thanks for letting me be a part of it! - Jen

A run for my money

This little guy turned 4.

He has grown so much since the last time I photographed him.
I usually am trigger happy, especially with children. Children give you so much personality and expressions that I just don't want to miss any of it.

You can't really tell by the pictures, but this little guy gave me a run for my money. He wasn't quite into the photo thing. And mom was a little worried that there wasn't going to be
any good photos of her boy.

I think we got some :)

I just love this kid!

Thanks so much. Mr. "C" you are so much fun and definitely all boy!

Friendship

"A friend is someone
who knows the song in your heart,
and can sing it back to you
when you have forgotten the words." by Donna Roberts

I was so impressed by my niece and her friends.
The three of them have practically grown up together in their church.
Their parents are friends, their siblings are friends; it's like family.
I had asked my niece what she wanted in pictures and the next two are what were requested.

Above is a pic of my niece with her best from high school and her church buddies.

Sweet Friendship!
May God direct your path and pray that you trust in Him in His direction.
Lots of love- aunt Jen

The camera likes this girl

Here's one of my niece's friends that I had a privilege of meeting.

Gorgeous huh?
I kept looking back at my camera display and think
Wowser! The camera likes this girl!
She had a sweet confidence that you can see by her different expressions in this collage.

Wowser - that just sums it up! It was so nice meeting you. -Jen
