Favorite Images of 2011 Contest

Today I have been reviewing my pictures of 2011. What a year! Truly blessed.
I would love to do another "Favorite images contest" as a thank you to all my 2011 customers.
I had such a HARD time narrowing down my favorites.  Here they are:

I would love for you to go to my FB page:  Jen Klamm photography FB to vote for your favorite.
The family of the favorite image will receive a CD of images from their session.  If they have already purchased a CD, a complimentary session for 2012 will be provided (excluding prints).

While your on my FB page, feel free to browse and "like" my page.  Special offers, mini sessions, etc are periodically posted throughout the year.  Who knows your images may be a candidate for 2012 favorite images. Thanks so much.

The contest ends December 31st at midnight.  Winner will be posted on January 1.  Good luck.  I can't wait to see who the winner will be this year.

Christmas baby

I love newborns.
This sweet little one is a Christmas baby for her first time parents.
Be prepared for cuteness.

This little girl is irresistible. And her parents...she is pretty blessed!
Thanks so much "H" family for letting me get a baby fix.   I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Ten on Tuesday

1. I received a package in the mail yesterday. It was from China. I have been anxiously waiting for it since before my daughter's birthday. It was suppose to be her birthday gift. When I ordered it on ebay, I didn't notice that the person selling the item lived in China. I just noticed the great price, great reviews from the seller, and the estimated arrival time was 5-8 days. The true date of arrival was 20 days. Ugh!

2. This will be one of those rare times that I appreciate that my daughter's birthday is close to Christmas. I was able to unwrap couple of her Christmas presents and rewrap it as her birthday gifts. Whooo, problem solved.

3. My daughter celebrated her birthday at the The Pink Zebra Boutique in Bonner Springs. If you have a little girl, this is a great spot for a birthday party. You provide the cake/cupcakes; the Pink Zebra takes care of the rest. It's awesome.

4. Here are some pictures from her party:

The girls had their hair done,

nails polished,

There was make up and dress up clothes.

Crafts were provided.

Gifts were opened.

And of course the cake, you can't forget the cake.

My girl's birthday beauties.

5.  It was my first time making homemade frosting for cake/cupcakes.  I'm thinking why didn't I do this before.  It tastes SO MUCH BETTER!

6.  Today is my kids last day of school before winter break. Yay!

7. On Thursday we will be baking goodies to our hearts content.

8. I'm learning about giving through my daughter. She has a natural heart to give to others. She is completely enjoying deciding what she wants to give people for Christmas.

9. I get to take newborn pictures tomorrow. So excited. I love newborns and the joy on the faces of their parents. It's priceless.

10.  I hope everyone finds the JOY in Christmas this year.  God blessed us with a divine baby, his own son.   He can reign in your hearts if you let Him.   Merry Christmas!

Ten on Tuesday

1. I have been so busy, that my "Ten on Tuesday" entries have been neglected. I'm thankful for the busyness of the fall season. I was wonderfully overwhelmed by the referrals this year, so blessed.

2.  We put up our Christmas tree this past weekend.  I felt like we did the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation search for the perfect tree.  We had friends that let us find a cedar tree off their land.

3.  We ended up getting 4 trees.  One that was too big for our house and is currently standing outside.  One that is in our living room fully decorated. Two that are in my kids' rooms.  My daughter spray painted hers purple and my son spray painted his blue.  They were able to decorate their trees however they wished.

4.  Now presenting the Klamm family Christmas Tree..........

5.  It is filled with picture ornaments.  Every year I put a current picture of my kids on the tree.  It's been fun seeing how they have changed and grown.

6. I've been thinking of ways to help my children grasp the real meaning of Christmas.  Last year I tried the Jesse Tree.  My daughter had made the ornaments out of shrinking dink.  It was okay, but the kids got bored.    This year I am hiding something from the nativity set every morning.  My kids have to find it and then we read in the Bible about that character.  This morning we read about Mary and when the angel appeared to her letting her know that she was going to have a baby.  She was to give him the name Jesus.  "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High."  Luke 1:  32.

7.  So far the kids love it and it generates good conversation about the first Christmas.

8.  I am so close to finishing my Christmas shopping.  I have half my Christmas presents wrapped. Yay!

9.  Thursday my daughter turns 6.

10.  I'm sure next Ten on Tuesday will be filled with her birthday party pics.

My Christmas card out takes

Today, I realized that I really needed to get my own Christmas card ready. After school, I took my kids to my favorite place to shoot Christmas cards and I came up with many out takes. Take a look:

Okay, so the above picture is not an out take.  I'm trying to decide whether to use the above pic for the back picture on the card or to use one of the out takes.  What do you think?

I heart faces

I'm trying something new. Decided to enter the photo challenge with "i heart faces." This weeks challenge is "bust a gut."

I knew of a perfect photo for this challenge.

I actually had numerous shots to choose from from this trio. They were giggly fun!

Remember "His Love Endures Forever"

Every year at this time I reflect on my blessings and what God has done for me and my family.
I also return to the passage in Psalms 136.
I seem to forget sometimes what God has done for me and that He will love me FOREVER.
And its seems the writer of Psalms 136 wanted the readers to never forget that God's love endures forever.

Psalm 136
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.
4 to him who alone does great wonders,
His love endures forever.
5 who by his understanding made the heavens,
His love endures forever.
6 who spread out the earth upon the waters,
His love endures forever.
7 who made the great lights—
His love endures forever.
8 the sun to govern the day,
His love endures forever.
9 the moon and stars to govern the night;
His love endures forever.
23 He remembered us in our low estate
His love endures forever.
24 and freed us from our enemies.
His love endures forever.
25 He gives food to every creature.
His love endures forever.

26 Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever.
