Picture choice

I've been working on my own Christmas cards and been reviewing some pictures of my girl.
I am wanting to order a large picture of my girl since I haven't done that in over 1 1/2 years. Can you believe that? Anyway I am having a hard time narrowing which picture I want. (I will be putting all the pictures in an album). Do you mind helping me decide? I would love some feedback. My girl has so many expressions it is too hard to choose.

BTW- my boy was easy to decide. He had only two expressions, his cute adorable grin or his "when is this going to be over" look.

Field Trip

To the pumpkin patch.
This was my first field trip with my daughter.
I still can't believe she is old enough to go on a school field trip.
Yes, it's preschool, but still.
It was the perfect morning.

My girl's two favorite things about the field trip: "making a craft" and "going down the big slide."
Kerby pumpkin patch is a lot of fun.
Check it out.
I'm hoping to go to a few more pumpkin patches around the area, if my kids let me.

Beautiful

I hope every parent thinks their children
are the most beautiful children in the world.

Because I do.

Tidbits

I don't know if this occurs in your car while driving to and fro,
but here is a recent conversation in our car.....

Hubby - "Can you guys talk quieter? Mom and I are trying to have a conversation."
My sunshine - "I'm not talking, I'm singing."
Hubby- "Can you sing quieter?"
My boy- "Maybe you can sing in your head."
My sunshine - long silence....

"That doesn't work."

I about hyperventilated on that one.

Have I ever told you that I think my girl is funny? She makes me laugh all the time.

Capricious

My daughter's attitude during her Valentine's photoshoot.
Come to think of it, it's an everyday experience with my
sweet 4 year old.

Daylight Savings Time

I remember the time when I loved to "fall back" in time.
Being able to sleep an extra hour on a cool fall morning.
Those days are long gone.
It's called children.
Better yet.....it's called my early morning conversationalist:

This morning she woke up at 5:30 a.m.
For this little early riser, it was 6:30 a.m. her usual wake up time.
In my groggy state, I vaguely remember hearing
a chair being moved across the kitchen floor.
I thought she may be getting into the candy loot, but no, she had much better plans.
Her plans involved these babies:
"tap" shoes that she had refurbished the day before.
Yesterday, she had asked numerous time if the shoes were dry yet.
And today this early, so very early of the morning, my early
morning conversationalist decided to put on a Broadway show with
music, singing and dance.
I have to admit, I did smile as I heard her tapping away on our all hard wood floors.
Oh to be three again!

Eyes closed

My girl has a way about her that makes me smile...

For months now, my girl believes that if she closes her eyes we can't see her.
For instance, when she was taking regular naps :)
there would be times that I would see her quietly tip toeing
out of her room with her eyes closed.
Or say when she thought she was in trouble,
my girl's eyes would be closed at the scene of the crime.
So it wasn't a surprise during our photo shoot that she decided
to close her eyes.
just more shots to show off her personality. -Jen

All dolled up for Easter

Here's my little girl dressed up in her Easter best.

All these pictures, my girl is looking so sweet.....

So, I had to add this one. Here she is after some chocolate
reinforcement. (Notice the teeth).
I'll have to do another post to show the many faces of my girl.
There were many more ornery than sweet :) -Jen

Our Angel

Valentine's Day is fast approaching.
Here is our sweet Angel.

My daughter just got another set of purple wings that flap and play music.
The first day she wore them,
she did not understand
why she could not really fly.
It seemed so logical.

Valentine's Day special. Set of 24 cards 4 x 5.5" for $30.
Spread the love.....

Temperate Tease

Yesterday was one of those days that I live for during the winter. It was 65 degrees outside. I had to enjoy it with my little ones, so we ventured to the school playground to play.

My girl instinctively knows about pure joy.
She somehow finds it everywhere.
My hope is that she will rub off on me.

I'm dreaming of another temperate tease.

Out of the mouth of babes

Retold by grandpa:

My girl, "What are you doing?"
Grandpa, "I'm putting lotion on my head."
My girl, "Why are you putting lotion on your head, grandpa?"
Grandpa, "Since I don't have much hair, my head gets dry."
My girl, "Don't put too much lotion on your head, more hair might fall out grandpa!"

We've had a week packed with Christmas festivities. My family is exhausted. Currently we are recovering and antipicating the last of our Christmas celebration this weekend.

My girl is three

My sweet little girl is now three.
It's so hard to believe.
She is growing up before my eyes.

She is smart.....
fun and outgoing.

She is our early morning conversationalist. I mean real early in the morning.
Lover of things little.
Capricious.
Devourer of jelly sandwiches.

We had her Curious George Birthday party this weekend.
Her only interest was of her presents. Can't blame her.
Thankfully she is not too girlie.
Me: "What do you want for your birthday?"
My girl: "a little princess and a race car."
My boy: "Girls can't have race cars!"
Hubby: "Little princesses like to drive race cars."

That's my girl!

Happy birthday. I love you! - Mom
